The reach truck is a type of industrial handling vehicle-specifically a warehouse forklift-designed for the loading, unloading, stacking, and short-distance transport of palletized goods. Based on the operating method, they are categorized into sit-down and stand-up models. Featuring a mast or fork carriage that can move forward and backward, these trucks are typically battery-powered and used for transporting large items within warehouses. They are equipped with two forward-extending outriggers-featuring wheels at their tips-which ensure stability when handling loads. Reach trucks combine the advantages of electric counterbalanced forklifts and stackers, offering benefits such as environmental friendliness, energy efficiency, low noise levels, high lifting capabilities, and suitability for operation in confined spaces.
While reach trucks manufactured abroad can achieve lifting heights of up to 13 meters, domestic models have reached approximately 9 meters. With ongoing technological advancements, reach trucks are also evolving toward greater intelligence.
