A pallet truck is a piece of logistics equipment designed for moving goods. When using a manual pallet truck, the operator inserts the forks into the pallet slots, uses manual force to drive the hydraulic system for lifting and lowering the load, and pulls the unit manually to transport the goods; this type of truck is a common tool for loading and transporting palletized cargo.
In addition to manual hydraulic models, there are electric pallet trucks. The third generation of these trucks-represented by fully electric models (often abbreviated as CBD)-offers a level of automation comparable to that of internal combustion forklifts. Powered by batteries, they align with energy-saving and eco-friendly principles. Electric pallet trucks are characterized by energy efficiency, zero exhaust emissions, and low noise levels, making them a common choice for material handling in industries such as food processing. While their energy-saving qualities have garnered significant attention within the industry, their development is currently constrained by battery capacity, resulting in lower power output and limited operating time.
