Safety is of paramount importance. As heavy-duty industrial vehicles, counterbalanced forklifts can pose serious safety risks if operated or maintained improperly.

Key Safety Operation Points:

* Certified Operation: Operators must undergo professional training, obtain the appropriate qualifications, and be familiar with the vehicle's performance and operating procedures.

* Pre-operation Inspection: Before starting work, perform a walk-around inspection to check tire pressure, lights, the horn, and fluid levels (such as hydraulic oil) to ensure the vehicle is in a safe condition.

* Smooth Operation: Start, turn, drive, and brake smoothly; avoid sudden acceleration or sharp turns. When raising or lowering the forks, maintain a moderate speed.

* Clear Visibility: Transporting tall loads may obstruct the view ahead; in such cases, drive in reverse or use a spotter. Always remain aware of the surrounding environment and personnel while driving.

* Strictly Prohibit Overloading: Overloading is a leading cause of forklift tip-overs and is strictly prohibited. Be fully aware of the rated load capacity at various lifting heights.

* Proper Parking: After work, lower the forks to the ground, engage the parking brake, and remove the key. When parking on a slope, also chock the wheels.

Routine Maintenance:

Regular maintenance is crucial for ensuring optimal forklift performance and extending its service life.

1. Daily Maintenance: Primarily performed by the operator; includes cleaning the vehicle, checking fluid levels (engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, etc.), and inspecting for loose fasteners.

2. Scheduled Maintenance: Performed by professional maintenance personnel in accordance with the manufacturer's manual. This includes changing engine oil and filters, inspecting braking and steering systems, and checking lifting chains for wear. For electric forklifts, special attention must be paid to battery maintenance, such as regularly adding distilled water and keeping terminals clean.
